Abilities are those characteristics that are innate, and cannot be improved. Unlike Driving, or Gunnery, there is no training facility for a character's abilities, and they don't level by use.

The following are a character's abilities:

  • Strength
    • Affects how many hits a character can take before falling unconscious or dying
    • Strong characters also are more likely to survive if they walk back to town (mainly just a guess)
    • Increases odds in melee combat
      • This increase is with Strength-based weapons (clubs, sledgehammers, baseball bats, etc.)
  • Dexterity
    • Affects accuracy with weapons
    • Increases odds in melee combat
      • This increase is with Dexterity-based weapons (swords, knives, other finesse-type weapons)
  • Speed
    • Fast characters fire earlier in the combat sequence
    • Affects weapon reloading speed somewhat
    • Affects running speed when on foot

FIXME - add even more info about these abilities
