Spelling changes[edit]
- It is not, IMO, necessary to make changes to spellings that are already correct. Since this wiki is utilized and edited by people from multiple countries, particularly those that use British and American English, I suggest the Wikipedia guidelines be followed when it comes to 'correct' spellings. --Wikiadmin 04:13, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
Wikipedia Manual of Style
- What was changed that shouldn't have been? I don't see anything in comparisons of earlier versions of this page. --Trifler 04:18, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
- demoralise(d) to demoralize(d)
- If you're referring to the After-Action Report, Slidewrx didn't change the spelling, he wrote that section himself. --Trifler 04:53, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
- Revision 2022 all the 'demoralised' were changed to 'demoralized'. Since the former is an acceptable spelling there's no real reason for the change. What I don't want is a mod-war where editors are fighting over equally correct spellings. Hence the direction to the Style Manual. --Wikiadmin 05:09, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry, Firefox was highlighting those words as misspellings, so I was just fixing them while changing other stuff. I'll let them stand as is. :) --Slidewrx
