Under certain conditions, vehicles may be set on fire. There are many contributors to this condition, including fire weapons (flamer, napalm, etc.) and other weapons that have an increased chance to start a fire. Engine damage always has a chance to start a fire. Every turn a fire can become more or less intense.
The "stages" of fire are: "smolders",
