The Mutant Merc is one of the first wilderness NPC builds that most players will see that sports an Anti Tank Gun. The amount of armor that it can strip off with a single shot, as well as the massive amount of recoil that it will punish you with are very dangerous. Fortunately the ATG is a short range weapon and it is not hard to keep a Mutant Merc far enough from a gun line that it never gets to fire the big gun.
